Overview

A Universal Testing Machine (UTM) determines the strength and mechanical properties of materials by applying tensile (pulling), compressive (pushing), bending, shear, or other controlled loads until the material deforms or fails.

A single machine can perform multiple types of mechanical test by changing fixtures and accessories.
